The TOBIAS Estate is nestled on Howell Mountain, perched high above the fog line of the Napa Valley. Together, Toby & Dawn Forman use their knowledge of farming, viticulture, and winemaking, handed down from over three generations and two iconic families, to continue their legacy. Dawn & Toby select the best fruit for the TOBIAS wine collection from their family estate vineyards in Sonoma and Mendocino counties. It is this individual and unique selection of their favorite vineyards that they craft the Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and FORMATION Cabernet Sauvignon blend.

The 16-acre Pauli Vineyard on Howell Mountain in Napa Valley comprises four individual blocks, planted to nine different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, with a gentle rolling southwest slope. Volcanic-based soils with iron-rich deposits and densely spattered volcanic rocks create a unique mosaic. Careful attention is paid to Cabernet Sauvignon's separate vineyard blocks and clones as Toby hand-farms utilizing his deep knowledge of farming practices and soil management. This combination of sparse layers of soil, easy-draining subsoils, and elevation yields a natural environment fostering intensity, color, and naturally firm tannins promoting a distinctive structure and character in the wine.
